Getting started

Is the demonstration free?

Yes. The video demonstration is free and comes with no commitment. Its purpose is to answer your questions and check that the Live fits your session, not to get you to sign anything.

See the page : Book your video demo.
Do I need an Evalandgo account first?

No, you do not need an account to attend the demonstration. If you create your free account before the call, we can start from your first questions and answer them on your own Live.

See the page : Book your video demo.
Can several of us attend the demonstration?

Yes. Mention it in your booking or simply forward the invitation to your colleagues. A demonstration shared with the people who will run the sessions saves everyone time.

See the page : Book your video demo.
None of the slots suit me. What can I do?

Write to contact@evalandgo.com or call +33 (0)4 67 17 96 77 with your availability. The team will suggest another time, including outside the slots shown in the calendar.

See the page : Book your video demo.
What is an Evalandgo Live session?

Live is an interactive session led by a host. Participants answer quizzes, polls or word clouds in their browser and the group discusses the results together, at a pace chosen by the host.

See the page : Bring the whole room into the conversation.
What is Evalandgo Live?

Evalandgo Live is European software for live quizzes, polls, word clouds and brainstorms, for companies, associations and trainers. Nothing to install, data hosted in the EU (France), 98% of requests answered within 24 business hours.

See the page : Engage your audience, live.
Is there a European alternative to Kahoot or Wooclap for businesses?

Yes. Evalandgo Live is a European solution for live quizzes, polls and brainstorms, designed for professional meetings, training and events. Data is hosted in the EU (France). Our comparison pages set out the differences with Kahoot, Wooclap and Mentimeter, with sources.

See the page : The European alternative to Slido
Is a word cloud enough for brainstorming?

To open the discussion, yes: it brings out recurring themes. To collect real proposals, use the Brainstorming question: everyone writes their ideas, then the group debates them.

See the page : Run a brainstorm where everyone suggests, debates and decides.
How do ideas become priorities?

Clarify the ideas first, then compare them with the same criteria, such as expected effect and effort. A poll can inform the choice but does not replace this clarification.

See the page : Run a brainstorm where everyone suggests, debates and decides.
What if I get stuck preparing my workshop?

Write to us by chat, email or ticket, or call us. We answer 98% of requests within 24 business hours and work out the solution with you.

See the page : Run a brainstorm where everyone suggests, debates and decides.
How many questions should a meeting include?

Start with one question that opens the topic and another that helps choose the next step. Add a question only if its answer genuinely changes the discussion or the decision.

See the page : Run your meetings: get everyone involved.
Will my leadership team take it seriously?

Yes, because every question serves the meeting: gathering views, checking a message, choosing between options. Quizzes and leaderboards are simply ways to hold attention, in service of your decisions.

See the page : Run your meetings: get everyone involved.
What if I get stuck preparing my meeting?

What if I get stuck preparing my general meeting?

Write to us by chat, email or ticket, or call us. We answer 98% of requests within 24 business hours and work out the solution with you.

See the page : Run your general meeting: let the room vote, live.
How many ideas can a participant suggest?

As many as they like. Each idea appears as a sticky note as soon as it is sent, and an idea suggested by several participants appears once, with the number of people who suggested it.

See the page : Live brainstorming
How many questions for a toolbox talk?

Three to five questions are enough, one per key rule. The rest of the time is for correcting, explaining and letting the team share situations they have experienced on site.

See the page : Run a safety talk where everyone takes part.
Can I reuse the same quiz every month?

Yes. Simply launch a new session of the same Live. You compare results from one talk to the next and see whether a rule finally sticks.

See the page : Run a safety talk where everyone takes part.
What if I get stuck preparing my safety talk?

Write to us by chat, email or ticket, or call us. We answer 98% of requests within 24 business hours and work out the solution with you.

See the page : Run a safety talk where everyone takes part.
Can I create my account from my phone?

Yes. Sign-up works from a phone, for free and with no credit card. You then create the Live itself from a computer, where the editor is complete.

See the page : Your account now, your Live on a computer
Do I need an account to create a Live?

Yes, a free account is required to create a Live. Your participants need neither an account nor an app: they join with the QR code, link or code shown on screen.

See the page : Your account now, your Live on a computer
How do I start the trial?

From the application: create your free account, then click a padlock next to an advanced feature. The trial starts straight away, for 14 days.

See the page : Treat yourself to 14 days of advanced Live, for free.
Should every question have a timer?

No. A time limit can help set the pace, but it can also end up measuring reading speed. Use it only when it serves the learning objective.

See the page : Make the key points of your training stick.
What should a follow-up evaluation ask?

Ask about a real situation: what has been applied, in what context and with what difficulty. Add an application case if you want to check a skill.

See the page : Make the key points of your training stick.
What if I get stuck preparing my training?

Write to us by chat, email or ticket, or call us. We answer 98% of requests within 24 business hours and work out the solution with you.

See the page : Make the key points of your training stick.
How many questions should a 45-minute Live include?

There is no universal number. Use a few questions connected to your objective and leave time to read and discuss responses. The example plan contains three main moments of audience participation.

See the page : How do you host a Live that gets people involved?
Should every session include all the formats?

No. Choose formats that serve your purpose. A well-prepared poll with a useful discussion can achieve more than a sequence of quizzes and clouds without a clear thread.

See the page : How do you host a Live that gets people involved?
Does every meeting need an icebreaker?

No. Use one when it helps participation or introduces the topic. In a short meeting or with a group ready to work, a question directly linked to the objective may be enough.

See the page : Which Live icebreaker should you choose?
How can I include someone who does not want to answer?

Offer the option to pass, choose a neutral response or contribute another way. Do not demand a public explanation and avoid questions that require personal disclosure.

See the page : Which Live icebreaker should you choose?
Is a QR code enough for a hybrid audience?

It is useful in the room, but also provide a clickable link and session instructions for remote participants. Test the journey on the devices that your audience will actually use.

See the page : How do you prepare a Live for a hybrid event?
What if some participants cannot connect?

Offer another way to contribute, such as speaking or working with a partner, and explain the limits of partial results. Prepare the alternative before the session so you can continue calmly.

See the page : How do you prepare a Live for a hybrid event?
What are the four levels of the Kirkpatrick model?

Reaction (did learners enjoy it?), learning (what did they remember?), behaviour (what do they apply?) and results (what effect on the business?). Each level answers a different question and is measured with a suitable tool.

See the page : How do you measure the impact of training?
What is the difference between immediate and follow-up evaluation?

Immediate evaluation happens right after the training and mainly measures satisfaction. Follow-up evaluation happens a few weeks later and measures what has been remembered and applied. The two complement each other.

See the page : How do you measure the impact of training?
How can I measure learning during the training?

With a live quiz after each topic: you see within seconds what has been understood and explain again straight away. Compared with the positioning survey, it shows progress.

See the page : How do you measure the impact of training?
What should I ask in a first word cloud?

Choose a simple, low-sensitivity topic such as expectations for the session. Specify the context and ask for a word or short expression, then plan a follow-up to understand the contributions.

See the page : How do you use a live word cloud?
Should the biggest word become the group’s priority?

Not automatically. Its frequency makes it worth exploring, but context and reasons matter too. Discuss the themes before preparing a vote or making a decision.

See the page : How do you use a live word cloud?
Does a correct quiz answer prove that a concept is mastered?

No. It is one signal in a specific setting. Combine it with an explanation of the reasoning, a new scenario and, when needed, follow-up on how the learning is applied after training.

See the page : How do you build a Live quiz for training?
Should training always include a leaderboard?

No. Show it when it fits the stated purpose and audience. For a new or sensitive topic, you can focus on the correction and discussion of answers instead.

See the page : How do you build a Live quiz for training?
Is a majority vote enough to make a meeting decision?

That depends on the agreed decision process. A poll may be consultative and does not replace your organisation’s rules. Discuss criteria, constraints and objections before concluding.

See the page : How do you use a Live poll in a meeting?
Can I repeat a poll before and after discussion?

Yes, if this helps explain a change in perspective. Keep the wording comparable, state the purpose and discuss the reasons. Do not repeat a vote simply to obtain a preferred result.

See the page : How do you use a Live poll in a meeting?
What is microlearning?

Short learning sequences of a few minutes, repeated regularly and focused on a single point. A five-question live quiz at the end of a meeting is an example: it reviews the essentials without blocking a full day.

See the page : Train your team at the end of a meeting, in five minutes.
How many questions should I plan?

Five questions are enough for a recap quiz. Beyond that, the format eats into the meeting. A short quiz every week works better than a long questionnaire once a quarter.

See the page : Train your team at the end of a meeting, in five minutes.
Do I need to create a new Live every week?

No. Duplicate an existing Live and change the questions, or launch a new session of the same Live to check a point is still remembered a few weeks later.

See the page : Train your team at the end of a meeting, in five minutes.
What if I get stuck preparing my recap quiz?

Write to us by chat, email or ticket, or call us. We answer 98% of requests within 24 business hours and work out the solution with you.

See the page : Train your team at the end of a meeting, in five minutes.
How do I choose between a quiz, poll and word cloud?

Choose a quiz to check an expected answer, a poll to collect a choice and a cloud to explore words. The format should serve the question you need to ask.

See the page : Live polls
What is a first-impression report?

It is written feedback from a new employee a few weeks after arriving: what surprised them, what helped, what they would improve. Their fresh eyes spot things the team no longer sees. Evalandgo collects it with a survey, in the same account as your Live.

See the page : Onboard your new employees with a welcome Live.
How long should a welcome Live last?

Thirty to forty-five minutes is enough: a quiz of about ten questions, a word cloud on expectations and time to talk. Beyond that, attention drops and the exchange loses its spontaneity.

See the page : Onboard your new employees with a welcome Live.
What if I get stuck preparing my welcome Live?

Write to us by chat, email or ticket, or call us. We answer 98% of requests within 24 business hours and work out the solution with you.

See the page : Onboard your new employees with a welcome Live.
What if I get stuck preparing my session?

Write to us by chat, email or ticket, or call us. We answer 98% of requests within 24 business hours and work out the solution with you.

See the page : Build your team’s cybersecurity awareness, live.
Does Evalandgo help with training quality certification?

Evalandgo gives you the tools to assess learning, with the live quiz, and collect trainee feedback, with surveys. Quality frameworks often expect both. Certification remains your organisation’s: Evalandgo does not certify anything on your behalf.

See the page : Trainers: keep your learners involved from start to finish.
Will my team find it gimmicky?

Not if every question serves the meeting: gathering views, choosing between options, checking a message. The leaderboard and a small prize for the best score are simply ways to hold attention.

See the page : Managers: get your team involved in every meeting.
How long does it take to prepare a Live?

A few minutes for a meeting: one poll question and a three-question quiz are enough. You can also generate a Live with AI, using a French AI hosted on Evalandgo’s own servers.

See the page : Managers: get your team involved in every meeting.
Can I brand the display for my event?

Yes, on paid plans: add your logo and adapt the Live design. To remove the Evalandgo logo from the projected screen, white labelling is included in PRO+.

See the page : Marketing and events: bring your events to life, live.
Can I reuse the same quiz at every session?

Yes. Simply launch a new session of the same Live, or duplicate it to adapt it. You compare results from one session to the next.

See the page : Safety, compliance and IT security: train your teams, and keep the evidence.
How do I prepare a useful demonstration?

Bring a questionnaire example, your live session scenario and the outputs you expect. The team can then show a relevant workflow and clarify what needs checking.

See the page : A French team, explicit choices
Can I use it during a town hall or a conference?

Yes. At a town hall, a mood poll and an open question gather the views and questions of all employees. At a conference, the audience writes questions and the speaker chooses which ones to answer.

See the page : Run your seminar: engage the whole room, live.
Can I put the Live into PowerPoint?

Yes, on paid plans, with the PowerPoint add-in: your questions go into your slides. With Google Slides, Teams or Zoom, simply share your presentation screen.

See the page : Run your seminar: engage the whole room, live.
What if I get stuck preparing my seminar?

Write to us by chat, email or ticket, or call us. We answer 98% of requests within 24 business hours and work out the solution with you.

See the page : Run your seminar: engage the whole room, live.
Which topics suit this format?

Any topic full of misconceptions: CSR and eco-friendly habits, GDPR and data protection, harassment, disability and inclusion, ethics. For workplace safety, see also our pages on safety talks and cybersecurity.

See the page : Run an awareness session where everyone speaks up.
Does the host need to be a subject expert?

Above all, they need to know the rules and be able to handle reactions. The Live structures the session: questions bring out doubts, and the host answers them.

See the page : Run an awareness session where everyone speaks up.
What if I get stuck preparing my awareness session?

Write to us by chat, email or ticket, or call us. We answer 98% of requests within 24 business hours and work out the solution with you.

See the page : Run an awareness session where everyone speaks up.
How often should we run cybersecurity awareness sessions?

Short, regular sessions work better than one long annual course: fifteen minutes per quarter, one topic at a time. Relaunch the same Live to compare results over time.

See the page : Build your team’s cybersecurity awareness, live.

Participants

Do participants need to install an app?

No. They answer in their phone’s browser after scanning the QR code, opening the link or entering the 8-digit code shown on screen.

See the page : Live open question
Can I use Live for remote or hybrid sessions?

Yes. Share the presentation in your video meeting tool and give remote participants the joining link. Rehearse the setup so that everyone can see the question and submit an answer.

See the page : Join a Live with a QR code
Will our IT department approve Evalandgo Live?

Participants install nothing: a browser is enough. Data is hosted in France on HDS-certified servers, with no transfer outside the European Union, and a data protection officer. Everything is detailed in our trust centre.

See the page : Engage your audience, live.
Can responses stay anonymous?

Yes, if you wish. When you launch each session, you choose whether participants answer anonymously or with their name. Anonymity helps everyone share their view openly.

See the page : Engage your audience, live.
How can I reduce the influence of the first ideas?

Plan individual thinking time before sharing. Announce how long people have and ask everyone to write their idea before commenting on others.

See the page : Run a brainstorm where everyone suggests, debates and decides.
Does the same sequence work remotely?

Yes, the principle stays the same: a visible question, individual time, then a group discussion. Check screen sharing and access to the link or code before you start.

See the page : Run a brainstorm where everyone suggests, debates and decides.
How can remote colleagues take part?

Share your screen in the video call and send the session link or code. Check that everyone can read the question and answer from a browser.

See the page : Run your meetings: get everyone involved.
What if someone cannot answer online?

Offer a spoken or written alternative and explain how it will be taken into account. An equipment problem should never exclude someone from the discussion.

See the page : Run your meetings: get everyone involved.
Can remote members vote?

Yes. Send them the joining link or the 8-digit code: they vote at the same time as the room, and their answers are added to the results on screen.

See the page : Associations and networks: engage your members, live.
Can I see how many people are voting?

Yes. The number of connected people appears live during the session, and each question shows how many answers it has received. You can estimate turnout before announcing a result.

See the page : Run your general meeting: let the room vote, live.
Can I run a brainstorm remotely?

Yes. Share your screen in your video call and send the joining link or the 8-digit code. Ideas from remote participants appear alongside those from the room.

See the page : Live brainstorming
My field teams have no computer. How do they answer?

A phone is enough. Participants scan the QR code, open the link or enter the 8-digit code, with no app to install and no account to create.

See the page : Run a safety talk where everyone takes part.
Should I show a leaderboard?

Choose according to the objective. For an end-of-day review, a leaderboard renews attention. For a sensitive or formative activity, favour discussing the answers and the right to make mistakes.

See the page : Make the key points of your training stick.
Will my learners take it seriously?

Yes, because every question serves learning: checking a topic, correcting a common mistake, renewing attention. The quiz becomes an exercise, and mistakes become a chance to understand.

See the page : Make the key points of your training stick.
What if part of the team is remote?

Share your screen in your video call and send the joining link. Remote colleagues answer at the same time as those in the room.

See the page : Train your team at the end of a meeting, in five minutes.
Can I welcome several new hires at once?

Yes, it is the ideal occasion. For a cohort of new employees or an onboarding seminar, the Live builds connections between them as much as with the existing team.

See the page : Onboard your new employees with a welcome Live.
What if the new hire works remotely?

Share your screen in your video call and send them the joining link. They answer from home, at the same time as the team on site.

See the page : Onboard your new employees with a welcome Live.
Does the new employee need to create an account?

No. They join the Live with the QR code, link or 8-digit code, in their phone’s browser, with no app to install and no account to create.

See the page : Onboard your new employees with a welcome Live.
Our volunteers are not comfortable with digital tools. Is it simple?

Yes. They scan the QR code or enter an 8-digit code on their phone, with no app or account. A one-minute demonstration at the start of the session is enough.

See the page : Associations and networks: engage your members, live.
I teach at several institutions. Is that possible?

Yes. Your account goes with you: you launch your Live in any room with the QR code or link, without installing anything on the institution’s computers.

See the page : Trainers: keep your learners involved from start to finish.
Do my participants need an account?

No. They join the Live in their phone’s browser with the QR code, a custom link or an 8-digit code. The participant interface is available in French, English and Spanish.

See the page : HR: train, onboard and bring your teams together, live.
How many participants can take part?

Up to 200 participants per session on paid plans. For a larger convention, contact us: we will size the right solution for your event with you.

See the page : Run your seminar: engage the whole room, live.
Can international attendees follow along?

Yes. The participant interface is available in French, English and Spanish. Attendees join the Live from their phones, with no app to install.

See the page : Marketing and events: bring your events to life, live.
Can I avoid asking participants for their names?

That depends on settings and follow-up needs. Explain the choice before participation and avoid questions that could unnecessarily identify someone indirectly.

See the page : A French team, explicit choices
Can I collect audience questions during a conference?

Yes. Ask an open question such as “What would you like to ask the speaker?”. The audience writes questions on their phones, they appear on screen and the host chooses which ones to answer.

See the page : Live open question
Is the display readable on a big screen?

Yes. The display adapts to the screen size, from a laptop to a video wall. Go full screen and check readability from the back of the room before you open.

See the page : Run your seminar: engage the whole room, live.
Will participants admit a bad reflex?

Yes, if you choose anonymous answers when launching the session. “Who has ever clicked a suspicious link?” then gets an honest answer, and a real starting point for discussion.

See the page : Build your team’s cybersecurity awareness, live.
Can I run the session by video call?

Yes. Share your screen in Teams, Zoom or Meet and send the joining link. On paid plans, the PowerPoint add-in also puts your questions directly into your slides.

See the page : Build your team’s cybersecurity awareness, live.

Yes. Launch the session with named answers: you know who answered and what they answered. On paid plans, export the results as CSV or PDF for your register or audits.

See the page : Run a safety talk where everyone takes part.
Can I track each learner’s results?

Yes. When launching the session, choose named answers to follow each person, or anonymous answers to make mistakes feel safe during learning.

See the page : Trainers: keep your learners involved from start to finish.
Can I track each employee’s results?

Yes, with named answers chosen when launching the session. For a more relaxed quiz where mistakes do not count, switch to anonymous.

See the page : Safety, compliance and IT security: train your teams, and keep the evidence.
Is the vendor’s location enough to make a choice?

No. It describes the company, but you should also review the service, contractual documents and data journey. Base the decision on your context and requirements.

See the page : A French team, explicit choices
Where should I verify hosting information?

Read Evalandgo’s official pages and request the documents applicable to your project. Check the exact scope whenever a certification or sector-specific requirement matters.

Pricing

Is Evalandgo Live really free?

See the page : Our pricing
Is billing per facilitator or per participant?

Per user, meaning per person who creates and runs Lives. Your participants pay nothing and create no account: they join the session from their phone in seconds.

See the page : Our pricing
What is the difference between LIVE+ and PRO+?

Both welcome 200 participants per session. LIVE+ is built for engaging a room. Plus white labelling, connectors, HDS-certified servers, priority support, and room for your whole team.

See the page : Our pricing
Is white labelling included in LIVE+?

How can I follow up on decisions after the meeting?

With an Evalandgo survey, in the same account as your Live. Send it a few weeks later to measure the effect of the decisions and actions taken, without switching tools.

Does Evalandgo Live replace a legal electronic voting tool?

No. It is designed for in-session votes, the kind usually done by show of hands. It does not handle attendance sheets, proxies, weighted votes or certified signatures: for a statutory vote that requires them, use a dedicated tool.

How can I prepare the general meeting beforehand?

What is the difference between Brainstorming and a word cloud?

A word cloud brings out keywords and frequent themes. Brainstorming collects real proposals, written as sentences, which the group then discusses before choosing between them with a vote.

Do live quizzes and follow-up surveys complement each other?

Yes, and they are in the same account. The live quiz adjusts the session on the spot; the survey gathers feedback after people have put things into practice. You follow learners from start to finish without switching tools or paying for two subscriptions.

See the page : Make the key points of your training stick.
Can I do everything with a single tool?

Yes, with Evalandgo: the live quiz for learning and surveys for satisfaction and follow-up evaluation are in the same account. Connectors then send the data to your tracking tools.
